We are dealing with a magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon - Malbec which takes its place on the podium of the best Australian wines.
In a year 2018 which is exceptional in Australia, this wine reaches a level which places it on the world stage of the best Cabernet Sauvignon.
An incredible palette of flavors ranging from raspberry, pomegranate to blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and black berries to all blue fruits.
An incredible complexity further enhanced by liquorice, pink pepper and other spices, kelp, saline, flowery and leafy notes. A firework of flavors supported by pleasant tannins that support a very long finish.
Epoustouflant!
To be enjoyed with a game bird, a lamb shank or a rib of beef.

The 2018 vintage can be described as one of the greatest, if not the greatest vintage in modern Margaret River history, spanning 55 years (i.e. since 1967). The release of the 2018 Tom Cullity Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec was both satisfying and terrifying. The first, because it confirmed everything I had suspected/hoped for before its release. The second, because it forced me to take risks and give it the rating I think it deserves. Having seen it blind a number of times in the company of international experts, I am confident that this wine more than lives up to its Bordeaux and Napa counterparts in the 2018 vintage. a wonderful example of Margaret River cabernet, in that it offers us red raspberry, pomegranate, blackcurrant and red licorice, alongside pink peppercorns, nori, sun-dried kelp , hints of iodine and earth, framed by ferrous tannins. It is fresh, structured and incredibly long. He will live forever.

A great edition of Vasse Felix's finest Cabernet blend, with plenty of power and depth. The aromas range from red fruits to blue and black fruits, with a leafy touch and fresh and attractive flowers. The palate has a core of very deep blue fruit flavors, with a play of acidity and propeller-shaped tannins. Impressive. Drink over the next decade or more. Screw cap.

Reminiscent of towering Margaret River eucalyptus trees, marsh flowers, dusty red earth and the salty breeze of the Indian Ocean, gooseberry and black cherry swirl with graphite, iodine, savory spice and violet dried. Powerful and balanced, with downright sexy tannins that cradle the fruit rather than smother it.

Sixth vintage of this wine. 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17.5% Malbec, 4.5% Petit Verdot. Spontaneous fermentation of whole berries (not whole bunches), basket pressing, 18 months in French oak (59% new). TA 6.1 g/l, pH 3.57. Bottled in February 2020. Suitable for vegans.
Deep crimson. A first hint of eucalyptus and a little less dark fruit than the 2019 Cabernet, but a little richer and sweeter on the nose than the 2013, while retaining a touch of mineral dryness. A slight leafy freshness. The tannins are compact, firm, wonderfully sweet and seem to give the wine its immense length. Winemaker Virginia Willcock describes the tannins as "very stable". The base notes are deeper than the 2013, but this may be a youth effect. (JH)

78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17.5% Malbec, 4.5% Petit Verdot. The release date is May 1, 2022.
Very fragrant, blueberry, boysenberry and raspberry, bakery spices, maybe a little chilli and a slice of mint-chocolate. It is medium-bodied, fresh and crisp, fragrant and luscious in its fruity flavor, with subtle bay leaf character, ripe, gritty tannins, and a very long, firm finish. It is powerful, but also graceful, and highlights the excellent 2018 vintage. It will be magnificent if given time to blossom.

The deep, rich and sensual nose and attack reflect a long, dry and hot Indian summer which extended the ripening period. It reveals aromas of dark chocolate, balsamic and delicious cigar box vibrato over notes of cassis, black berries and blue berries. Undertones of green coffee beans, sage, terracotta, cooler graphite and cut fingers develop. Dynamic, jagged tannins and mineral acidity contain and prolong the fruit on a long, ominous finish.
