An extraordinary Chardonnay.
It combines a vertical and powerful acid structure, a minerality worthy of the greatest Chablis, a very great freshness underpinned by a deep tension in the heart of the wine with a richness of the fruit on the pear, the apple and the white peach.
Full-bodied, with a precise frame, it presents an extreme complexity reinforced by aromas linked to wood (hazelnut, spices, sandalwood, toasted notes) and a touch of lavender.
This balance between acidity and richness of the fruit is quite simply breathtaking.
To taste with a ceviche, oysters, langoustines, lobster, scallops or a fish carpaccio.

Succeeding in the 2017 vintage is not easy, but the Chardonnay Aconcagua Costa "Las Pizarras" of 2018 did well. From a fresh year, it has notes of white flowers and nuts and is a bit lighter than the 2017, which was more structured. It doesn't have the depth and crispness of 2017, but it does have a really good freshness. It is vertical and mineral, and has good tension, following the 2015 and 2017 model. It is now aged mainly in 300 and 400 liter oak barrels, and the oak is well integrated. Only 50% of the wine has undergone malolactic fermentation. 6,557 bottles and 60 magnums were filled in February 2019.

I love the aromas of lavender, sandalwood, apple and sliced pears. A few shades of gunpowder and slate. Full-bodied, but well-formed and tight with minerality and sparkle. Crisp acidity gives that energy and depth. Can be drunk, but will age wonderfully.

Dazzling: there is no other way to describe this remarkable Chilean Chardonnay, which quickly established itself as one of the best examples of this grape in the New World. Stony, tight and refreshing with some underlying tension, fine oak, subtle texture and a core of appetizing minerality.

This world-class Chardonnay is produced not far from the Pacific coast from fruit from small plots cultivated on slate ("las pizarras" in Spanish). The wine combines the exuberance of fruits, including white peaches and star fruits, with hazelnuts, praline, dried fruits, toast and sweet spices. On the palate, it is dry, beautifully balanced, with a creamy and sophisticated texture and an underlying tension. The finish is lingering and includes well-judged oaky notes and wonderful salty complexity.

Las Pizarras started with the 2014 harvest and immediately highlighted the potential of the Aconcagua Costa vineyards. This version of Las Pizarras, like the previous ones, comes from three plots rich in slate soils, about 11 kilometers from the sea. It is aged 100% in barrels, although only 50% is new wood, while half undergoes malolactic fermentation. As usual, this Chardonnay is rather austere, with spicy and vegetal touches in a context of fruits and minerals. The important thing here is the texture, the tannic structure, the strength that the wine offers from the start on the palate. The structure is that of a red wine, severe, austere. And it's very fresh, a trademark of a cold year in the region. A wine to keep.

100% Chardonnay. Located 12 km from the Pacific Ocean. Harvest by hand. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats. 50% of the wine has undergone a malolactic conversion. Aging for 13 months in new (15%) and used (85%) French oak barrels.
A very ample wine, with a remarkable mineral profile and whose acidity is accompanied by sufficient richness. Very deep flavor in the aftertaste. Tasty and smooth. I like the concentration of fruit in this Chardonnay.
