In an ideal year 2018 while remaining fresh, we obtain an elegant, refined, nuanced and harmonious wine.
On the nose: raspberry, porcini mushrooms, violet, cedar and iodine are in harmony.
The full-bodied mouth is on the red fruits, matched with a nice tension. The wine is deep, ample and long with a nice depth and silky tannins. The long finish is mineral and tasty.
Harmony, elegance and sophistication are the key words.
To be enjoyed with a game bird, a lamb shank or a rib of beef.

There is a reductive character in Finca Piedra Infinita 2018 which I also found in Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal. There is also a great connection with the 2016, more so than the 2017. There is tension and crunch here, and the finish is very mineral, dry and chalky but coupled with deep flavors. The wine seems very young and with enormous potential for development in the bottle. The symmetry of the cooler vintages in this bottling is there: there is precision, detail and nuance. There is purity, restraint and great harmony. There is energy and light, power and balance. It's as good as it gets. 5,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
